I am thrilled to share that I recently received an award at the local awards ceremony at the University of Udine, where I secured 2nd place in the local CyberChallenge.IT competition. This achievement has earned me a spot in the national competition, where I will compete against participants from 43 universities across Italy.
The journey to this point has been both challenging and exhilarating. The CyberChallenge.IT program provided me with extensive training in various cybersecurity domains, including web security, network security, cryptography and software security. The rigorous training sessions and practical challenges significantly enhanced my skills and prepared me for the intense competition.
Now, as I look forward to the national competition, I am filled with anticipation and excitement. This next phase is an Attack and Defense CTF competition, where I will be pitted against the best cybersecurity talents from universities across Italy. I am especially excited to compete alongside my talented teammates from the University of Udine:
- Roberto Van Eeden, student at the Master degree program in Artificial Intelligence & Cybersecurity
- Alessandro Biasi, student at the Bachelor degree in Computer Science
- Matteo Cancian, student at the Bachelor degree in Computer Science
- Enrico Santi, student at the Bachelor degree in Computer Science
- Martina Siderini, student at the Bachelor degree in Computer Science
Together, we form a strong and dedicated group, ready to tackle the challenges ahead.
Having passed the local selections of CyberChallenge.IT means that now I'm also a part of MadrHacks, the Udine-based team of ethical hackers born out of these competitions. MadrHacks is one of the top 50 teams worldwide and holds the 2nd place ranking in Italy.
